The Gruver Cooley team is made up of only the most highly skilled and experienced craftsmen. Our staff averages more than 20 years of experience each and includes a number of families with two generations working for Gruver Cooley. Every member of our staff understands the significance of each project, regardless of size, and its importance to our clients. Chip Gruver
PRINCIPAL
After working summers during college in the family business, Chip joined Gruver Cooley in 1977 and became President in 1996. He provides general oversight to all Gruver Cooley operations and is in charge of sales. He has a B.S. in Business from Lehigh University and over 40 years experience in all phases of construction.

Jill Gruver
COO
Jill joined Gruver Cooley in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer and brought with her the management expertise from having run a much larger organization. Jill is now the Chief Operating Officer for the company. She has a Master's degree from Catholic University and a B.A. from Lehigh University.

Cathleen Gruver
LEAD
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Cathleen has her M.A. in Interior Design from Marymount University. She received NKBA's prestigious "30 Under 30 Award". Her graduate thesis received the Best in Show award for her research and evidence based design. She received multiple Chrysalis Awards from Qualified Remodeler and Kitchen & Bath Design News. She has been featured in The Washington Post and Forbes.
Kate Sizemore
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Kate received her B.S. in Interior Design from the University of Cincinnati and has experience in both residential and commercial design. Her work includes residences, boutique hotels, retail and office projects throughout the world. She studied in Copenhagen, Denmark and has worked for architecture and design firms in Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco and Northern Virginia. She enjoys the challenge of creating spaces that are functional, efficient and celebrate each client’s style and unique story.

Annette Hartung
CONTROLLER
Annette is Gruver Cooley's Controller since 2011. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University and has over twenty years of Construction Administration experience.

Tom Rasmussen
ESTIMATOR
Tom is Gruver Cooley's Estimator. He has over fourteen years of experience in estimating and project management in the construction industry. He attended Longwood University.
Mike Reid
PROJECT MANAGER
Mike has over 30 years of construction experience, twenty-three as a field superintendent. Mike has a thorough understanding of all trades, strong scheduling skills and good working relationships with clients in his projects.

Julia Gruver O'Donnell
PURCHASING MANAGER
Julia joined Gruver Cooley as their Purchasing Manager in 2019. She graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Virginia Tech where she was trained in supply chain management. Julia has over six years of experience in project management and human resource management.
